Compass Group Canada Associates play a critical role during this pandemic.
Our #CompassHeroes campaign was initiated to shine a well-deserved light on all Compass associates supporting the fight against COVID-19. Each new story will be shared here; check back often.

Our Associates Say Thank You.

During the worst of times, we see the best in people. Our amazing associates working both in healthcare and across Compass Group Canada are among the heroes making a real difference right now. To start, we asked our teams to send a message to our front line healthcare teams – we were humbled by the responses. Thank you. #CompassHeroes #healthcareheroes.

Our Communities Say Thank You.

We are proud to serve our local communities and are humbled to see their support for our front-line workers. Canadians are finding different ways to share their words of encouragement at the sites we serve across the country. These gestures are felt by our associates and we appreciate them! Thank You.

Hidden Heroes

Our frontline associates continue to make us proud each day. We also want to acknowledge that behind them, there is a group of support teams working incredibly hard to make sure they have what is needed to be successful and perform safely. To all of you hidden heroes, thank you for ALL you are doing to help support our #Frontlineheroes. You are all #CompassHeroes – Thank you.

100 Days

It’s hard to believe today marks 100 days since we closed our regional offices due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, we have been in awe of our great people. They’ve shown their resilience and commitment to Compass while caring for families and loved ones – it has been incredible to see. Our teams have navigated the complex changes a global pandemic brings. They have been there for our communities – every day. It has been a challenging 100 days but one that has reminded us about who we are. As we mark this 100 day milestone, we’d like to share this video tribute of our Compass Group Canada associates. A heartfelt, thank you.

Carlos is one of our Executive Chefs at our long-term care residences. Throughout this unique situation, where every job counts, Carlos has demonstrated how a real team works – taking on whatever task needs to completed. Even if that means coming in on his day off to fill a dishwashing shift. Thank you Carlos – for being a true team player and an excellent example of our #CompassHeroes

Linda is our training manager for K-12 Chartwells. As the pandemic hit, Linda started making much needed masks for her local hospital. Spending her free time, and using her personal materials, Linda quickly stepped up and took action to help fill a critical need. Thank you Linda – we are so proud of our #CompassHeroes

Our Steamplicity Cuisine Centre team is hard at work creating hot meals for more than 15 hospitals in Ontario – and accelerating to support additional facilities. Through Steamplicity, the team is able to provide meals that are both simple and quick to cook. Allowing our partnered healthcare providers to serve flavourful and nutritional meals to patients across the province; in an efficient manner, with preparations being completed off-site by this hardworking team. Thank you Steamplicity Cuisine Centre for ramping up your operations quickly in response to physical distancing and COVID 19 healthcare measures. Scroll to see the rest of the team! #CompassHeroes

This is Argentina (Tina to her team!) from our Eurest Dining team at Sheldon Chumir Health Centre in Calgary. Tina is part of our frontline teams working alongside health care professionals during the pandemic. Thank you for your continued support to the staff and guests at Sheldon Chumir HC, Tina. #CompassHeroes

Gurleen is a Dietary Aid at one of our Marquise Long Term Care facilities. In an effort to help bring a smile to those working alongside her at the care home, Gurleen began sharing short ‘Thank You’ messages on meal packages throughout the day. Thank you for your small gestures of kindness, Gurleen! #CompassHeroes

John is one of our Canteen warehouse associates in Ottawa. John’s constant positive attitude and strong work ethic are truly appreciated by his team. John keeps the warehouse laughing throughout the day, making this difficult time a bit lighter. Without him, the warehouse would not be the same. Thank you for your dedication, John.

Meet our Environmental Services and Food Services team at Joseph Brant Hospital. They supported the opening of the field hospital to support COVID-19 patients.

We are so appreciative of their dedication to support Canadians as we navigate this pandemic.

Thank you team!
