Chartwells Higher Education Announces the Launch of the 2016-2017 Chartwells Campus Project

We are happy to announce that Chartwells will once again be accepting applications to the Chartwells Campus Projects for the 2016 – 2017 academic year.

At Chartwells (a member of Compass Group Canada), we strongly believe in the power of students to initiate positive change. As a foodservice provider on college and university campuses across Canada, we also embrace the tremendous opportunity we have to contribute to this change by promoting and supporting student-led ideas, particularly in the areas of food and foodservice-related sustainability. The Chartwells Campus Projects is a fund to support student projects in these areas. By supporting such projects, we aim to encourage students to work together with Chartwells to turn their innovative ideas into tangible action that positively contributes to sustainable food services on campus.

For the third year students will be able to partake in this unique opportunity to take a leadership role in advancing sustainability on campus with the support of Chartwells and a $5000 grant.

The success and popularity of last year’s projects has led us to increase the number of projects from three to four, providing even more students with a valuable learning opportunity.

We are promoting the Chartwells Campus Projects on our Dine on Campus website, through our social media platforms, and through direct outreach on campus to our clients, partnering organizations, and through our food service offices.

Applications to the fund open September 7, 2016 and close on October 7, 2016. To apply, please contact your Chartwells food service manager. Selected projects will be announced on October 18th.. Stay tuned!
