Game On (and Come Hungry): Levy Raises the Bar at Mosaic Stadium

The Canadian Football League (CFL) season is back, and with it comes one of Saskatchewan’s most sacred traditions – thousands of green jerseys, a roaring crowd, and the very real dilemma of whether to get in line for food before or after kickoff. (Spoiler: before.)

Ask any Rider fan what makes game day special, and they’ll tell you it’s never just about the score. It’s the sea of green, the smell of something delicious drifting through the concourse, the electric buzz before the first snap – the feeling that something great is about to happen. That atmosphere doesn’t stop at the stands. This season, the culinary team at Levy is paying tribute to the Prairie classic while giving it an all-star upgrade. The perogy lineup has been reimagined with bold, loaded variations that go well beyond butter and sour cream.

Fans can dig into Perogy Poutine, piled high with gravy and cheese curds, or try the Pulled Pork Perogy, which combines slow-cooked pork with the comfort-food favourite. The Nacho Perogy brings all the flavours of game-day nachos to a Saskatchewan staple, while the Kielbasa Perogy tips its hat to the Eastern European roots that helped make perogies a household favourite across the province.

“Saskatchewan runs on perogies.” – everyone who has ever lived in Saskatchewan.

And then there’s the Humongous Hot Dog.

At two feet long and loaded with bison chili carne, bacon chipotle jam, fried onions, crispy popcorn jalapeños and cheese sauce, this isn’t just a hot dog, it’s an experience. It may require a strategy and definitely a few extra napkins, but that’s all part of the fun.

And that’s just the beginning. From over-the-top game-day classics to fan-favourite concessions, there are plenty of other delicious options to discover throughout the stadium.

For guests looking to elevate their game-day experience even further, new interactive Chef’s Tables in the Capital Auto Suites and AGT Lounge offer a behind-the-scenes look at the culinary action. Featuring freshly prepared dishes and chef-led experiences, these premium spaces bring an extra layer of hospitality to every game.

Of course, football is still the main event. But the experience extends far beyond the action on the field. From the atmosphere in the stadium to the food and hospitality, every detail helps make the day memorable. Great food has always been part of the tradition, helping create the kind of game day fans look forward to all season long.

As the Roughriders kick off another CFL season, one thing is certain, whether you’re there for the football, the food or a little bit of both, Mosaic Stadium and our Levy Canada team are ready to deliver another unforgettable season.

Come hungry. Stay loud. Go Riders.
