Pride Alliance is Compass Group Canada’s 2SLGBTQIA+ ERG. Our mission is to create a workplace where 2SLGBTQIA+ associates feel safe, celebrated, and supported, and a culture where everyone can express their authentic selves without hesitation.

While this may sound cliché, as a young gay professional with few role models in the workplace, I took it to mean that I needed to become the representation I once needed early in my career. At every organization I’ve joined since, I’ve looked for inclusive environments and worked to foster that culture from within. When I started at Compass and Foodbuy in 2022, one of my first actions was to connect with the Pride Alliance ERG. As soon as the chance arose to co-chair the group, I eagerly volunteered.
I firmly believe that our company’s strength in the market comes from the diversity of perspectives and lived experiences among our people.
